In short: Gap has no accounts, and your game save stays on your phone. The game is free and shows ads from Google AdMob. To show ads, Google collects some data from your device, such as the advertising ID and IP address. In the EU, UK and Switzerland we ask for your consent first, and you can change your choice at any time under Settings → Privacy & ad choices. We do not receive any data that identifies you.
Gap is developed and published by RADIAN PIXEL APPS S.R.L., Str. Bucureștiului Nr. 32, Ardud, Satu Mare County, Romania (fiscal code / CUI: 55065139, trade register no.: J2026042016007). The company is responsible for any personal data handled in connection with the game. Contact: radianpixelapps@gmail.com
Gap shows two kinds of ads, both served by Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland):
The Google Mobile Ads SDK in the game collects data from your device and sends it to Google for three purposes: advertising (choosing, showing and, if you consent, personalising ads), analytics (measuring how ads perform) and fraud prevention and security (detecting invalid clicks and abuse). This data includes:
Google uses this data as an independent controller, under its own privacy policy. Google explains how it uses data from apps that show its ads at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. We do not receive this data. We only see summary reports from AdMob, such as how many ads were shown and how much they earned. These reports do not identify you. The game does not add any other ad networks itself. Google may work with third-party ad technology providers to deliver and measure ads; they are listed in the consent form, and you can choose which ones may process your data.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, the game asks for your consent with Google's consent form the first time you open it. The form also covers storing and reading information on your device.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time under Settings → Privacy & ad choices in the game. This row appears wherever Google asks for consent (the EEA, the UK and Switzerland); elsewhere no consent form is needed, so the row is not shown. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads (or Settings → Google → Ads on some phones).
Our legal basis is your consent for personalised ads and for storing and reading information on your device (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). For non-personalised ads, measurement and fraud prevention, it is our legitimate interest in funding a free game (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
Google may process ad data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Such transfers are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
The game saves the following, only in your phone's own storage:
Your game save is not sent to any server, and we cannot see it. The game works without an internet connection; you just won't see ads and rewarded videos then. If a rewarded video cannot load, you still get the reward.
The “Share” button creates a picture of the arrow you chose (its name, rarity and pattern number) and saves it temporarily in the game's private cache on your phone. It then opens Android's share menu. The picture only leaves your phone if you pick an app and send it; from then on, that app's own privacy policy applies. The picture contains no personal data.
If Google account backup is turned on on your phone, Android may include this game save in the backup and move it to a new phone. That backup is handled by Google under its own privacy policy; we have no access to it. You can turn it off in your phone's settings.
The “Send feedback” row in Settings opens your own email app. If you send the message, we use your email address and message only to reply, and we never share them. We delete the conversation on request.
The “Rate the game” row opens the Google Play Store. Google's data practices apply there; the game receives nothing from it.
Gap is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you are a parent and believe your child has used the game, you can turn off personalised ads in the game's ad choices, or delete the advertising ID as described above.
You can delete the game save at any time: uninstall the game, or clear its data under Settings → Apps → Gap → Storage → Clear data on your phone. Clearing the data also resets your ad consent choice. Google keeps ad data for limited periods under its own retention policy. To delete it, reset or delete your advertising ID.
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct and delete your personal data, to object to its use, and to withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier use. We ourselves only hold emails you sent us; write to the address above about those. For ad data, use the in-game ad choices or contact Google, which holds that data. You can also lodge a complaint with the Romanian data protection authority, ANSPDCP (dataprotection.ro), or with the data protection authority of the country where you live.
If we add purchases, other ad networks or any other online feature to the game, we will update this policy before they go live, and the date above will change.
